momto2Cs
I am looking for possible project resources for a 9th grader studying medieval through Renaissance/Age of Exploration history. I like the looks of some of the projects listed in Oak Meadow's high school world history syllabus, but it seems a bit pricey to buy just for those. I would ideally love to see variation in the projects that include: writing, and/or hands-on, and/or research. Any ideas? Books? Websites? Thanks! Erica in OR
We have used Reading like a Historian from Stanford. It's free..... http://sheg.stanford.edu/medieval With which grade levels have you used the Stanford resources? I'm using some of the Ancients lesson units with my 7th grader this year and really liking them and had been wondering whether they'd be appropriate for a 10th grader (and beyond). mumto2
I used them with a Twentieth Century course we did. Both dc's together grades 8 and 10. They made a great jump off point or an easy project for me to assign when one was needed.

Erica in OR Obviously I'm not the person to whom the question is addressed, but I just had a look at the site and think several items from the early modern era will be completely appropriate for my DS in 9th grade. And thanks to mumto2 for the link! :)
