smoore530
My DD will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. I used MFW K with my DS and thought I would use it with her too. However, she begged me to teacher her to read, so we are currently working through AAR1. Is it worth doing MFW K with her next year, or should I just skip it and let her do science/history/Bible with DS and Math/Language on her level? cbollin
mileage will vary. My middle child enjoyed doing her mfw kindy and being invited to join other stuff with big sis. I didn't really know middle gal had learned to read, but she could and so the worksheets were handwriting practice and spelling instead of learning to read the words. some sentence copy work. and math was where she was. So, for us? it was worth it. Youngest -- in spite of her expressive language delays she understood reading, so same thing.. I had used mfw k and liked it and wanted to do it again.. and then there was the day with memory badges and the older girls memory verse and happy memories....... ah... Ineed to go away from memory lane. if you're like me and used it with older child and want to do it again, it will work out with minor changes (do worksheets for more handwriting, copywork and spelling), and even enjoy science/ activities and bible, while inviting to join. but if you prefer to just use other stuff, it's going to be ok too.
