fruitofthewomb
My mom said it was sad. My aunt said no one was talking when they left theater-somber mood. It does end in death-Google chris Kyle. I can't watch it. True story war movies really get to me. My BIL went on 2 tours in Afghanistan & I can't help but imagine him in those situations. And it breaks my heart. Anyway-I do think it's important that their stories are told. Hope this helps
SharonM
Thanks. I will have to go back to work after, so I wanted to be prepared. I do think their stories should be told. That is why I wanted to see it.
SeaConquest
Powerful would be the word I would use to describe the film.
bettyandbob
The ending is known. It is based on an actual person. Dd (17) went last weekend with my MIL and ds (20). Dd said she found whole movie difficult and then it was ending and it looked happy, then the picture disappears and they tell you he was killed. Dd didn't know the story of the guy IRL so she wasn't expecting that, so that made it hard. This the second intense movie MIL gas taken her to. Dd says she doesn't want to see movies with MIL anymore.
El...
Yeah. I'm not going to go see that one. If I want to have an ugly cry I'll do it alone on the couch, courtesy of Redbox. Or maybe I won't. I understand that the actors tried to be very faithful to the story. Edited. TMI.
Heidi
I've only seen the trailer, but I bawled like a baby for the next ten min. Hits a little too close to home. I will be watching it in the privacy of my own home when it comes out.
