mirabillis
Hi there! I started another post about Help finding a particular program... I'm not having much luck. I've seen some kind of fairly inexpensive computer program/disk you can buy for Introduction to Computers. Mouse-movements, etc for the younger primary grades. This I'm thinking in lieu of Typing as 1st grade's too young for Typing IMO and she doesn't get much out of DanceMat. I'd like her to enjoy a little computer time while having a good solid intro to computers. Anyone have any suggestions?
SnMomof7
I haven't used it, but Keyboarding Without Tears? It covers mouse usage?
Farrar
Is this really something you need a program for? My kids learned that stuff just by being allowed to play around on sites like Starfall and PBS Kids and Poisson Rouge when they were little. desertflower
Well since you haven't had any luck, I'll throw in my 2 cents. I'm not sure what you are looking for. like Farrar, my kids learn how to use the mouse by playing games on pbskids.org. for free programming, I am using code.org with my oldest. I hear Scratch is free and kid friendly. You can also try Khan academy (because KA seems to have everything ). MIT also has some free courses.
