Kareni
I bought a new bottle of acerola (in tablet form) from our local health food store when our previous bottle ran out. Unfortunately, we do not care for the new brand. It's Nature's Plus, and it has a sharper taste and a more gritty aspect than the other brand. Sadly, I did not keep the old bottle, so I have no idea what brand it was. What is your favorite brand of acerola tablets? Ellie
That's for Vitamin C, yes? Nutrilite (Amway's vitamin and food supplement line) has an excellent Vitamin C, based on acerola cherries grown on its own certified organic farms. A 500mg tablet includes 120mg of acerola cherry concentrate.
Kareni
Yes, it is indeed for vitamin C, Ellie; thanks for posting. Have you tried and liked this particular item? Regards, Kareni
Ellie
I do love the Vitamin C. It's quite tasty, lol, besides the fact that it is good for you.

shukriyya
One last attempt for other recommendations. This is a brand I like. It's a little pricey but the quality is stellar.
Kareni
This is a brand I like. It's a little pricey but the quality is stellar. Thank you, shukriyya. May I ask how you use this? The only types of acerola we've used have been or are in a chewable form. Regards, Kareni
shukriyya
You can mix it into juice or smoothies.
Kareni
That sounds pretty yummy! The major advantage of the chewable tablets is that my husband likes to carry a few with him wherever he goes. If he's tutoring and his student (or others nearby) start to cough, my husband is apt to pull out an acerola tablet and start chewing it. shukriyya
I'm not keen on the chewables but ds takes these and likes them well enough.
Kareni
I'm almost certain, shukriyya, that the chewables you linked are the ones we originally had and liked. Many thanks! Regards, Kareni
shukriyya
My pleasure. I've enjoyed this little acerola convo, a bit of a departure from our usual literary ones :)
Kareni
That was my thought, too! Here's a book to put things on a more familiar footing! The Healing Power of Plants: Medical Plants from Abuta and Acerola to Yohimbe and Yucca: a Practical Selection... Regards, Kareni
