Delighted3
On our old table, which was scratched and discolored, we used a vinyl table cloth so we could just wipe off spills. They're not as cheesy as they used to be. On the other hand, they aren't amazing either. I used the vinyl ones for everyday with just the family and switched to a fabric one when I knew people were coming over. This is exactly what we do. I like the vinyl talbeclothes because they are inexpensive, easily cleaned, and I can change the look for seasons, etc. They come in some really pretty patterns. Suzanne in ABQ
I've had the same beautiful tablecloth on my table for 9 years, and I've never washed it. I've always kept it covered with clear, heavy vinyl. I used to clip bungee cords to it, underneath, to keep it taut, but now I just let it hang. I get the second-heaviest gauge vinyl at the fabric store (JoAnn). It stays in place well, and only needs to be replaced once a year. It's easy to scrub -- doesn't slide around or bunch up.
