StaceyinLA
I have decided to let dd go forward with taking the GED, which will qualify her for her beauty school admission as well as our local community college (well, not local but in the next big city where she would attend). While she is doing this, she will work on a couple of extra courses at home and work part-time. In the spring we'll fill out her FAFSA and get her ready for enrollment in the beauty college. I will let her walk with the home school graduates in May. Just thought I'd share my decision.
Tullia
What a relief it must be to have sorted through all the options! We're in a similar process, and my biggest fear is inadvertently doing something "wrong". Things have changed so much since my high school/college days that sometimes I feel clueless. I know several former home school students who have used the GED option, and all of them are successfully pursuing their goals. Best wishes to you and your daughter. Kareni
Your plan sounds like an excellent one for your daughter. I hope that your mind is at ease now that you've made a decision and that the coming year is a success. Regards, Kareni
