We have been working on letter blends and diagraphs but I'm having trouble finding books for him that aren't too easy or too hard. It seems like there is a lot of either kind but not what we need. We are using McGuffey's readers starting with McGuffey's Eclectic Primer, Revised Edition and then we will move to McGuffey's First Eclectic Reader, Revised Editon. They are systematic and move from short vowels to bigger blends. We are very pleased with how they are working here.
