Where's the forum for moms who homeschool and teach public school and where's the forum for parents of hs and public school kids?

Recommended Posts

Well, I guess the title pretty much says it all. Is there a forum here for moms who do what I call "dual school?" That is, we have kids who are both at home being schooled and in a b & m school? Also, is there a place here to hang out with moms who teach at school and then come home and teach at home as well? Thanks!

There are a number of us who have one (or more) kids in a B&M school and one (or more) kids being HSed. I'm not sure if that's what you meant by your OP or if you were talking about "afterschooling". There is a dedicated sub-forum for "afterschoolers", but those of us who have a mix of HSed and B&M school kids just tend to post in whatever sub-forum is applicable to the particular child.

Hey Ruth. Hey Crimson. It's good to see you again. I never thought a year ago, I'd have one in school and then return to teaching but I'm actually looking forward to it. I just don't want to neglect my 13yo's needs by taking on other kids. So I look forward to following you along.

Btw, Ruth, your non-fiction reading skills have saved my science program this last year. That would definitely have been a dropped ball while I helped my 10yo transition to public school. I plan to use it again this next year while I teach. I'll check out the other forums to see where you are in the science area.

I think if you want intelligent input on anything pertaining to education, the WTM forums are the place to be! No requirements as to who you are schooling or where. I "hang out" on the Chats, General Ed, and Logic stage boards--choose whatever best fits the topics you want to discuss.
