What do you use for Internet filtering, if you are running Windows 8?

We have a new computer that's running Windows 8. I can't for the life of me get Safe Eyes or Net Nanny to run properly on it. I ran both of those (at separate times, LOL) on our old computer (windows xp) with no trouble. For Safe Eyes I was on the phone forever with customer service trying to get it to work, so annoying! Does anyone know why they won't work? I'm running Kasperski for virus filtering, if it matters.

Windows 8 has internet filtering. I have a separate kid account on my computer with filtering set up. The windows 8 filtering is much more detailed than in previous versions.

Really? Hmmm I didn't know that. Does it only work with Explorer?

My ds has Windows 8 on his computer and he's had an awful time trying to get Net Nanny to run on it.  

 

So, Windows 8 has built-in filtering?  Can you explain to me what that entails?  TIA

You just create a child account and then set up the permissions. 

 

We do restrict certain websites and content. It is under PC settings....I think?
