Night Elf
I just got a replacement Kindle Fire because the battery port wouldn't let me charge it anymore. Well, the new one seems to have the same problem. I've tried 3 Kindle chargers so it's definitely not the charger. Has anyone else had this problem? I can get it to charge if I put something under the charger at the port but that seems silly. Should I contact Amazon again and tell them this one is the same? dsmith
I would contact them again. This is a known problem, at least with the 1st generation Fires. I've had mine replaced once, but thankfully the replacement worked fine.
Desert Strawberry
I went through 6 First generations and an upgraded charger in less than a year. It was insane. I finally got a second generation. The port is a little fussy, but so far it still works. Amazon customer service is truly amazing. I am a loyal customer for life after that experience.
