Night Elf
My battery port has gotten loose and the Kindle won't charge. I looked online and it appears to be a common problem. I called customer service and they are mailing me a replacement. I purchased in April 2013 and I expected them to tell me it was out of warranty or something. I'm floored that they are replacing it so easily. I just send back the old one so they can evaluate what went wrong and then they'll recycle it. But that has me wondering how they recycle these. Do they sell them used?
Erica in OR
The deal of the day today at amazon is refurbished Kindles, so I'm guessing that's where some of them end up. Erica in OR
Jann in TX
They may refurbish it or may strip it and sell off some parts that remain valuable...
