Rebecca in KY
I've been lurking in these forums for a while now, and decided to join. It's so nice to "talk" to others who are going through the same things in life! I'm homeschooling my six-year-old son, who is about to complete first grade. We started homeschooling in K and plan on going through 8th or even all the way through--it just depends on him. Loving the journey, and looking forward to connecting with others! Guest Midwest Academy of Arts an
Hello Kentucky! I have a will-be 8th grader and a 3rd grader and am wondering how it is to HS in a testing state like KY. We have family there and are considering moving. Now we are in Nebraska, a non-testing state (but does require curriculum) and I would love to hear about your experiences. Thanks! Slache
I don't know why you're homeschooling. The schools in Kentucky are so good. ;) (We used to live in the Cincinnati area. GO REDS!)

I haven't started yet... so I'm not really the person to answer! haha! But... as far as I've been told all that's required in KY is to keep track of progress, keep an attendance record, and notify the PS system with a letter of intent each year. No testing that I know of. ??
