Chris in VA
Phooey. We were all set to hand off ds to the CC for Am. Gov't and Spanish this fall. Now Gov't has been cancelled. I have to come up with some sort of quickie course at home--can be Gov't or history. I'm thinking maybe he can do the TC Am Govt course (they do have one, don't they?). I'd have him read Thomas Paine's Common Sense, the Constitution and Declaration, and maybe write a short paper or two. Half credit will probably suffice, although it would be nice if he had a full credit. He's set to graduate in Dec, tho. He signed up for Psychology at the cc instead. Argghh. Jann in TX
Another poster posted a link for a group discount...I'm very tempted to order if for dd. Since tests are not included (but homework is) I would have dd write some essays for her 'tests'. Government is usually a one-semester highschool course--in some states Economics makes up the second semester. BTW--I liked the lecture in the sample... Blue Hen
I looked at Thinkwell's Am Gov't today and wondered whether that might be a good choice next year when my DS should take AmGov't. Homeschool Buyer Co-op are the ones who have thinkwell's course at a discounted price. Carole
