dovrar
SIL is planning a b day party and planning to serve pizza. She know that ds has a severe allergy to MSG so she's trying to find somewhere to order from that she can afford, but won't have ds sick. My family and I pretty much avoid pizza from all but family owned restaurants that we know do NOT use MSG in their pizzas, so I need some help with options. She's thinking Little Caesars, but I thought they used MSG in their sauce. Thanks for the help!!! Debbie
zoobie
MSG has never bothered me in small doses (pizza sauce), but I get horrible migraines from some Indian and Asian restaurants that use it in everything. Google says Little Caesar's does use MSG in their sauce. It's hidden in the list as "seasonings." Can you bring DS a sandwich (or slice from one of your safe places) and tell her not to worry about it? Most of my friends with allergy concerns bring their own food just to be safe. MercyA
I don't know of any major pizza chains that don't use MSG or free glutamic acid. Pizza Hut's sauce contains "spices." Papa John's doesn't disclose their ingredients, but I've reacted to their pizza. I would bring a pizza you know your son can eat.
