umsami
Which book would you recommend to read first for a 10 year old boy? Thanks :)
nansk
Of course, The Hobbit. It comes first chronologically and is also appropriate for that age.

umsami
Merci, that was my guess, but wanted to make sure. :)
Harriet Vane
Definitely The Hobbit. You might find you need to wait another year or two for LOTR. It's requires more advanced reading skills than does The Hobbit. Some kids are ready at 10yo and others benefit from waiting until they are older. He's a really good reader, and has recently become interested in the whole series because of the Lego game. :001_rolleyes: Up until now, he's been majorly into anything dragon-themed.
