Amy from WT
A dear friend just gave me this, and I've never heard of it before! Sure looks like a fun toy, though! Our girls are both off to college in a week, and for various reasons she wanted to bless me. WOW, what a nice surprise! She told me the store it came from and gave me the option of trading it in for something else. Does anyone else have one? Do you like it? Please share! TIA! Valerie in Chicago
I don't have one, but my mom does. And she loves it!!! She got the idea from a good friend of ours who got one first...and loved it too, of course. Have fun!
Gretchen in NJ
I have one. I used it alot more in the beginning then I do now. I like to use it to reseal frozen food bags. The bags are very expensive, but are reusable. My mother loves hers and uses it all of the time. I might be too lazy to use it.
cin
I LOVE mine. I cook large quantities of items and then freeze them. They last FOREVER in the foodsaver bags. Seriously, I still have some cheese from about 2 yrs ago that I am using. It's fine. I buy discounted meats that are about to expire and freeze them in the food saver bags also. They last forever too. Without the air, there is nothing to cause freezer burn. So you can freeze it for extended periods of time. I usually freeze sauces or soups in a container and then remove it from the container and put it in the freezer bag. Any soft foods need to be frozen first or else they will squish. I also buy bulk chocolate and keep it in the food saver bags in my pantry. Oh yes, I LOVE mine!!!
kewb
I love my foodsaver. It really works. I admit I go through phases. Sometimes I am just feeling lazy but when I get a great deal on meat or fruit or cook in bulk it is fantastic.
Blue Hen
I have one, used it often when I first got one but then I got lazy and just haven't pulled it out when I'm putting away 40# of chicken. Maybe next month when my kitchen is finished I'll find a place for it close to my workspace.
Adrianne
We have one. It was a gift. We buy meat in bulk when it is on sale. It helps save us money. We also use it for things like clay for school projects. It helps keep it moist in between uses. Dh uses it for fish food too. Enjoy your new toy!
