They did D'Nelian in pre-k, then I'm not sure what they did in public school kindergarten... nothing specific I think.... Anyway, they still tend to write a little "D'Nealiany" so maybe we should just get their cursive book? It is more or less because of the lengths in which I would have to go too to teach the kids how to read other styles. I did find one not as "loopy" and it made it easier to read other styles ... here So, I would begin with reviewing manuscript and start cursive. I have with my first grader. She prefers it. Most intro books have a short manuscript review and then move in to cursive. We went from HWT manuscript to A Reason for Handwriting Book T (transition). It's worked very well.
