simplemom
My children got the complete Liberty Kids DVDs for Christmas. I'm thinking about getting them The Complete Magic Schoolbus DVD collection. What other CD or DVD series are there for younger elementary aged that are educational and fun. They watch Wild Kratts and are learning a lot about animals from that.
Nart
I would look into getting Netflix. They have the Magic School Bus series, the first season or two of Wild Kratts, and plenty of other educational shows. It ends up being cheaper than trying to buy complete series. Arboreal TJ
Popular Mechanics for Kids is on Amazon Prime. Bill Nye episodes are on YouTube. Carmen SanDiego is good to.
Chris in VA
Horrible Histories? Kinda gross sometimes, but I find them hilarious...
MeganW
Between the Lions - it is meant to teach beginning reading skills, but what my kids really got out of it was learning to imagine a story - they read the book, then they act it out with puppets, then they do it with dolls, etc. etc. I really feel like that demonstration helped my kids take a book and run with it. Word World for beginning reading / blending LeapFrog Letter Factory - learning letters & sounds Sonlight's Mathtacular - we watched those over and over - while they didn't get the concepts from watching, the exposure helped them when we did get to it in our math program Sonlight's Discover & Do Science - experiments
