Hannah
So the background is that Dd9 is in hospital for overnight observation. She developed a swollen, red and hot foot with a slight fever after a bee sting yesterday. Diagnosis: Cellulitis. So far her temp is back to normal and things are looking good. I'm in a recliner next to her bed. The problem is that every time I move, the chair jumps back up! I'm just NOT getting into a comfortable sleep position. The nursing staff don't know how to fix it and the wards are full, so no extra chairs available. Is there a trick to these things I don't know? With the loudly snoring dad in the corner and the mom opposite shrilly threatening her 3yo with 'big trouble' if she doesn't go back to sleep, I'm in for a long night. I really do want to 'recline' through it.

amo_mea_filiis.
Do you have something (a chair?) that you can shove under the foot part of the recliner?

Hannah
Do you have something (a chair?) that you can shove under the foot part of the recliner? You got me thinking and I have just jammed it into the railing at the side of the bed (hope i don't break anything) and its a huge improvement. Thanks! ThatHomeschoolDad
Ask an RN. They tend to have secret info.
