Negin
If you were to move to a city in the U.S., where would be ideal with the following requirements: * not an exorbitant cost of living * easy public transport - I do not like to drive on freeways. * friendly to homeschooling Thank you. Ottakee
Do you want your own vehicle or to rely mostly/all on public transportation? Any weather requirements? How big of a city?---like larger metropolitan area or smaller city or ??? West Michigan is very homeschool friendly and traffic is pretty easy almost all of the time. We do though have winter and summers can be hot and humid. Grand Rapids has a good bus system. Holland I believe has a decent one but public transportation isn't big in other areas. Thank you for replying. Changes in plans and no move for the time being. I love what I've seen of Michigan and have a few good friends in the Davison area. DawnM
I see you are no longer looking at moving. I would suggest places like NC or SC though that would fit your description. Even the larger cities like Charlotte, Raleigh, or Savannah would be fine as you don't have to hit the freeways to get around. When I lived in LA, I had a teacher friend who was much older. She wouldn't ever drive on freeways. She had difficulty getting places and often would take double the time to get around. It isn't like that in NC/SC. Upward Journey
I was going to say Tucson, AZ (if you like heat). -good bus system -no freeways -VERY homeschool friendly -not overly expensive -good size, feels more like a big town, than a city
Negin
Thank you all so much. No, no plans to move for now. I would suggest places like NC or SC though that would fit your description. Interesting. I took this quiz twice and both times the results were that NC is best for my personality type. :)
