shawthorne44
I changed positions at work, and my new boss said that we each have 2K each year to spend on ongoing education. WooHoo! I love college classes. I thought I would start with a programming class maybe Java or one the C versions. It would need to be online and self-paced. Anyone have any recommendations? I know there are some free ones out there, but I thought since the money was there, I could take a class that had more support. But, I don't need to be on a degree path. Mnemosyne
Team Treehouse is great, but last time I checked they didn't have a lot of advanced courses up yet. Lynda.com seems good as well. Neither are through a university, though, but you'll get a lot more bang for your buck.
elegantlion
With that money at your disposable, I would look into classes through a university. You might be able to find a certification program, either earning a certificate or college credit. Even if you don't need the degree, I would want something with qualifications enough to add to my resume.
