carolinagirl710
I am trying to gather information regarding your favorite math curriculum for 7th grade. All suggestions welcomed.
Patricia in WA
7th grade is different for every student. Some are ready for Algebra while others need a good year of pre-algebra. Which are you looking for???
Just a Jen in Mississippi
Last year, my daughter was in 7th grade and used Teaching Textbooks pre-algebra. She loved it!
Pamela H in Texas
Lial's BCM is a solid text for a pre-algebra student.

png
My dd used Jacob's Elementary Algebra last year for 7th. She did very well. She previously used Saxon from K-6th grade.

Patricia in WA
I second this! One of my children in prealgebra really enjoyed Lial's BCM!!! She is now using Lial's Intro to Algebra. What I liked best about it is the nonsense approach to the topics. They taught the lesson clearly, gave plenty of examples and then gave plenty of exercises to get the student comfortable with the material. Some of the word problems needed to be explained since this text is used in remedial college classes but overall it was great. It covered everything needed before you have to advance to algebra. Nicole not in CA
We are using Lial's BCM also. My dd has never liked math (she loves writing, grammar, history), but this has been a good fit for her.
