TheRosySeven
Does anyone do SOTW in conjunction with CC memory work? I would like to match up the time periods but I can't remember which time period cycle two starts and ends with? Do they work well together?? Samiam
There's lots of talk about this exact topic, if you can get the search option to work. In a nutshell, SOTW and CC will not match up. CC moves much faster than SOTW. You'd only be halfway through SOTW 2, before CC Cycle 2 (what they are doing this year) is waay beyond. Seeing that SOTW has four volumes, so four major time periods, and CC only does 3, and the third is actually a focus on American History, if I remember correctly, there's pretty much no point in matching up....you'd drive yourself crazy. TheRosySeven
But can they be done together? Or would that be too much??
mrs.m
It can be done but it isn't exactly in order of SOTW and you will probably leave out big chunks of SOTW to stick to CC's schedule. Are you in a CC community and on C3? Someone has matched it up and it can be downloaded from C3. The other option is to do the memory work and not even worry about matching it up. Sometimes SOTW will be review for the memory work or the memory work will be review for SOTW.
mrs.m
I found this for Cycle 1: http://www.scribd.com/doc/16862364/cycle1sotw Is that what you are hoping to do?
TheRosySeven
Yes! That's perfect. Thank you! I didn't want to be doing one piece of history here and another there. But either way one will be reviewing the other.
