Sebastian (a lady)
Did the board rules go away? Or did they just get moved? I thought there was a section of the rules that discussed joining the group primarily to advertise a product or acceptable etiquette by people associated with a product. I recalled that it was something along the lines of answering specific questions about a product was fine, but replying to general posts with referrals to their product was discouraged. Did this change? Is that "so last board" along with tags and useful searches?
Sebastian (a lady)
Ah, I guess it's called Community Guidelines now and is at the very bottom of the page instead of at the top. This was the section I was thinking of. No advertising If you are the publisher or author of home schooling (or other) materials, or have a financial interest in a particular program, you may answer direct questions about those materials but don't use a general query ("What science/language arts/history materials should I use?") as a chance to promote your product. When these questions are posed, we hope that parents will hear from other parents not from those who may have a vested interest in the use of a particular program. Wish I could fix the tag issue as quickly.

Sebastian (a lady)
Ok, what am I missing? In the past few weeks, there have been several posters who are rather new to the boards (or at least to posting) who seem to devote most of their posts to promoting this or that online program for homeschooling. Julie of KY
Got it. I often notice those things, but I've been traveling.
Chrysalis Academy
I noticed it too, what a graceful way to address it, Sebastian! :thumbup1:
