LunaLee
Just trying to figure out if it's worth the $100 for the answers, or if one can easily grade questions/assesments without it.
Geo
Can't help you, but I feel your pain. Mine is in the history dept.
klmama
Are you using the macaw book? Teacher editions of the dragonfly book are a lot cheaper, but I don't know how closely the questions will correlate. I found it helpful to have the TE.

We will be using the Dragonfly book and the cheapest I've been able to find it is $94. :-<
klmama
What year? Here are cheap ones from 2002: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0130507423/ref=sr_1_8_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1373091128&sr=8-8&keywords=miller+and+levine+biology+teacher%27s+edition&condition=used and here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Prentice-Hall-Biology-Teachers-Edition-by-Kenneth-R-Miller-Joseph-Levine-/310669735983?pt=US_Childrens_Books&hash=item48555bf82f Here's a Texas TE from 2004: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0131152920/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used another 2004 here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Prentice-Hall-Biology-Joseph-Levine-Kenneth-R-Miller-Acceptable-Book-/390618431745?pt=US_Texbook_Education&hash=item5af2ac4101 Here's an Alabama TE from 2006: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0131905430/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new In my experience, it hasn't mattered if I use a TE state version that differs from the student edition, as long as the year matches. YMMV, of course. I would probably go ahead and get a cheap TE, even if the year weren't the same.
LunaLee
Thanks, that's a good idea, I'm using the 2008, but I might pick up an 2002 since it's only $10.
klmama
You might keep searching, too. Often Amazon doesn't list all the options under one search criteria and I have to input different ways to find what I want - adding in a year, publisher, etc., will pull up options that didn't appear before. Here's a cheaper 2006 version, which might be closer to the 2008 student edition. Again, different search criteria brought up different options. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0131905414/ref=sr_1_15_up_1_main_olp?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1373122965&sr=1-15&condition=used
Geo
Are you using the macaw book? Teacher editions of the dragonfly book are a lot cheaper, but I don't know how closely the questions will correlate. I found it helpful to have the TE. I found a used "Dragonfly" edition for $12ppd. Fortunately, we won't need TE because dd is using High School Biology in Your Home. It's research based, so the text is just a source, not the guide. She'll the internet and library as well. Conversely, she will be using PH World History: Modern Era...and the used TEs that match her text are high. Unless I find one I can afford, I will have to do without. J-rap
We used the Macaw edition, which included free online support. The online support included the TE. Not sure if that comes with your edition, or how similar the editions are. If you could find a cheap used copy, I'd get it.
