Guest jleelad
My daughter studies Latin, History and Math beyond her public school, mostly on her own because she loves it. She is 11 and just finished Saxon Algebra 1/2. That program was fine, she liked it but I thought it was a little short on explanations. I am looking for pros/cons of Saxon Algebra 1 and suggestions for other programs. She also is interested in Algebra 1 Classmate. Thank you. regentrude
If she is advanced, likes math and is good at it, and thrives with a discovery based approach, I recommend Art of Problem Solving.
Arcadia
I'll also recommend Art of Problem Solving (AoPS). I'll get her an Alcumus account and let her have a go at the Algebra questions. Alcumus http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/Alcumus/Introduction.php You can watch videos for the Algebra textbook here. http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/Videos/index.php?type=introalgebra
