Cricket
Anyone have a recommendation for a nice camping spot with fly fishing access? I've been checking out places on the Kern River but I'm seeing warnings the water can be quite rough. I mean, if there is white water rafting, I don't think I want my kids standing in that in order to fish!
Crimson Wife
Big Bear, perhaps? We do not personally fly fish but I remember Big Bear being lovely when we lived down in SoCal and I know there is trout in the lake.
Cricket
Dh said Big Bear is very nice but checking the weather, it looks too cold this time of year. Although my search did bring up Lake Arrowhead which is near Big Bear but at a lower elevation so thanks!! :-)

Cricket
And I've discovered Lake Arrowhead is a private lake so no public fishing.
