lgliser
Hi, We are starting homeschooling next year (first grade) and I want to do D'Nealian handwriting. I looked on Amazon and I'm not sure which to buy! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=d'nealian%20handwriting&sprefix=d'nea%2Caps&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ad'nealian%20handwriting&sepatfbtf=true&tc=1367349992089 And is that even the best place to buy it? Are there teachers guides or is it just really self explanatory? Thanks :)
Dawn E
I used the free printables here. I printed out one set of the alphabet and put the pages in a binder with page protectors. My ds used a dry-erase marker for practice. Most of the sheets have the directional guides for constructing each letter. We've also used this book and others by this author. Punchie
We do D'Nealian, and if I can't find a decent copy on Amazon, I'll order them from Rainbow Resources. We use the books in this series. No teacher's guide, just that book. I did buy the desk tape for DD's desk when we started book 2.

No teacher's guide, just that book. I did buy the desk tape for DD's desk when we started book 2. I use the same series. The book is self-explanatory. I just took it to staples and had it spiral-bound to keep the focus on one page at a time.
cintinative
I am using what the others said they used. We finished the workbook quicker than I thought (for my 1st grader) so when that was done I used an online handwriting worksheet maker and made worksheets using the Children's Shorter Catechism. What online handwriting site was it? Thanks for the replies!
kathkath
I have the font and find it tremendously helpful. With the font you can just find the sequence online and do your own pages, copy work, etc. you can also make your own lined paper with it. Below are fonts that are the same as d'nealian ;) http://www.fonts101.com/search/school+slant http://www.dafont.com/school-script-dashe.font This is the order: 2nd grade printing: a,d, o, g, c, e, s, f, b, l, t, h, k, i, u, w, y, j, r, n, m, p, q, v, z, x They review the lower case and capital letters at the same time. This is the order for 2nd grade cursive: l, h, k, t, i, u, e, j, p, a, d, c, n, m, x, g, y, q, o, w, b, v, z, s, r, f A, C, E, O, H, K, N, M, U, V, W, Y, T, F, B, P, R, G, S, I, Q, Z, D, J, X, L
