moonlight
Hi, I Am not sure how to word this properly. I might be talking about mentor texts, but you'd have to tell me since I don't know what that is exactly. I would like to teach my son writing by having him read an excerpt of writing that is well written. What should we do with it then? Have him use it as copy work? Somehow write something based on it? I don't know what to do with this thought.. How we could go about making this happen? Resources I can look into? A curriculum that uses this method? This is for my DS10. At the moment, he is doing a writer's workshop. I have SWI B on order... Thanks!

moonlight
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL!!! I know there is a head thump emoticons that would be appropriate right now... The very first suggestion just had to be something I have already. I should go look at it. Thanks! Any other ideas?

Heidi
I haven't used either, but isn't that the point of Classical Composition and Classical Writing?
SevenDaisies
I haven't used either, but isn't that the point of Classical Composition and Classical Writing? Yes. We have Classical Composition, but we are not starting until next year. I believe Classical Writing is similar although I do not know the difference between the two.
