Nscribe
I have seen this mentioned as a resources used by several in various threads. There are a couple of items by that title on Amazon. It would be great if someone would link the one being mentioned. TY.
Dana
This is the one I have. I wouldn't think it'd be for high school though....

That's the one we use too, and I agree, I wouldn't use it much past 8th grade . 9th if the student had never seen any of these before or hadn't really studied literature much. We are using it in our trial year of high school as remedial learning. DC never saw these terms before. Someone on these boards recommended it recently (thank you!). It goes very quickly though--you don't have to do all the "write a paragraph" exercises if the term is very simple. We did 5 Chapters in a couple of hours, and plan on finishing it in the next couple of weeks, with here-and-there time.
bugs
I am using it with my 9th grader as a "preamble" or sorts to taking Windows to the World next year. He is doing it as part of English, in a "get-er-done" method.

The book is not childish and some of the exercises can be quite sophisticated. I would not hesitate to recommend it for beginning students of literary analysis of all ages.
