milovany
That's the award my son (and his team) won at the state level First Lego League tournament today. :D My 13yo son and another kid on the team were in charge of the bowling activity and while they did okay with their original design at the regional competition a month ago, it took a good minute of the 2.5 minutes they had to complete the course. When they were playing around at FLL one night, one of them said, "Too bad we can't just toss the ball over at the pins from right outside of base." Click, click, click. Before we knew it they had a catapult designed that was fast (10 seconds for one run, 20 for the spare) and somewhat consistent. It was fun to watch that develop and then super fun for them to get an award for it today. They were out of their league otherwise but still quite an enjoyable day. Have you seen any other fun Judges' Awards, FLL or otherwise?
