Jennifer WI
Do they need to be the same level or can I have a higher level reader with a lower level of CTGE?
Ellie
I don't see why they'd have to be the same level.
Hunter
Grades 2 and 3 CGE teach dictionary respellings. There is a crossover in the same type of lessons in both series. The phonics/respelling lessons in the readers are NOT dependent on the stories though, and the publisher states that you can use them according to where the student is currently working in CGE. So you would do the vocabulary and comprehension pages according to the story, and work ahead or behind as needed so the phonics pages would line up with CGE. Things get easier in grade 4 when the respelling lessons are over. The dictionary respellings make it a little harder to jump into the series at grade 3 without having done grade 2.
