cagirlintexas
We have a lot of down time here in the middle east especially in the hot part of the year. Anyone have any suggestions of kits or toys that are good entertaining them. We have lots of toys like legos, unit blocks, duplos, cars, trucks, trains, ect but that only lasts so long. Somethings we got last year that have worked well... Lego Wedo Robotics set Duplo Simple Machines Duplo Tech Machines Snap Circuit Magic School bus kits (these weren't great but my son loved them) Home School Art Studio we also got Atelier but didn't go over as good was looking at getting Keeva Planks K'nex just not sure what set they have a simple machines one so might get that Lego Simple Machines More science kids Snap Circuit Robot Maybe Lego Mindstorm Any other kits or activities you have purchased that you would recommend. Added bonus if Rainbow Resources carry them cause they ship to Qatar.
pehp
My son ADORES k'nex. I had purchased a basic set at a yard sale last year, then he got the gears set for Christmas. He comes up with all sorts of creations!! In fact he's in his jammies building a k'nex train trestle (?!) now. :)
momsuz123
All the ones you said just went on my wish list! I'll add Superstructs. My kids love them - and yes, you can get them from RR. Hope this helps - you helped me!
cagirlintexas
Thanks a bunch! I added Superstrucks those look cool. Its funny no matter how many times I look at rainbow resources I always miss stuff. Glad to hear K'nex is a hit. Any recommendations on which set to get. They have a bunch of choices? I was thinking about the deluxe simple machine one is that a good choice or is an ordinary set better?

cagirlintexas
We have a decent collection but the problem he hates to lose which makes it hard. I let him win but its still hard.. I need to look more into cooperative board games. We have one and it has been great!
Oakblossoms
Haba games- I don't think Rainbow carries these. They are great for young kids especially the ones that come in tins. (I did check and they don't. But, i would think Haba ships to a variety of countries because they are German right? http://www.habausa.com/products/games-for-kids/travel-games-for-kids.html the games in tins are quite little kid friendly! Thames and Kosmos have kits for the younger set that my son likes.
