I was gifted a VP OT/AE Teacher's Manual and timeline cards...

if I purchase the memory CD, can I easily use this resource as my memory work? I do like the looks of Veritas Press, but I prefer to stick with Sonlight. I would love to use this instead of figuring out my own memory work for the remainder of the year. There are many reproducible activities in the TM which will work nicely with SL Core B. BTW, this is the "school" TM, not the "homeschool" TM. It is an older version, not sure if that matters, I didn't much of a difference on the website.

 

Have the cards changed? The TM I have is copyright 1998. Thanks!

You could easily use the cards without the TM. We just memorized the cards- 7 a week.

I had a similar question. I have just the cards w/ no TM, wanting to use them for memory work. Would it be helpful to buy the CDs?

If I remember right, the CD is just a single song that includes all the cards. I think maybe the OT one might have an additional song for the 10 commandments. Honestly, I thought it was overpriced and not worth it.

The memory song is all you're missing then. If you'd rather you could just chant the titles in order without the song.

 

If I recall correctly, the only difference between the school and home teacher's manual was the copying permissions being for a whole classroom versus a single family.

I thought the song was helpful. We used the VP cards with SL books last year and will probably be doing the same again next year. My kids like the songs.
