violamama
My husband is changing jobs and next week he's off work entirely. I can't remember a time when this has happened when I still have all my commitments and we're not traveling. Our boys are 6 and 4: Anybody have ideas for stuff we should do together in the mornings instead of/as part of school to take advantage of him being home? I'd like to find a couple of neat activities we might do as a family. I kind of hate the word staycation, but I suppose something along those lines is what I mean... Elinor Everywhere
Museums or science centers? Movie? Hiking or walks? Special lunch out?
Arcadia
Not sure which part of Oregon you are in. We enjoyed Oregon Museum of Scienceand Industry. Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum and building snowmen at Crater Lake National Park.
violamama
We're in Beaverton and OMSI is definitely on my list. Evergreen has become so expensive! Maybe it would be worth it for a special week like this, though. I hadn't thought of snowmen- that sounds awesome!! A morning movie would be great, though we already saw the only thing that's at our level (Wreck It Ralph). I'll have to check the dollar theater. Thanks! Doodle
When my husband took a week vacation in October, we planned a field trip week for school. We went to two museums, a planetarium and a cavern.
