Is there any such thing as a totally selfless good deed?

Recommended Posts

From the wisdom of Joey Tribbiani (can you tell I'm watching "Friends" while cruising the boards?):

Joey: It made you feel good, so that makes it selfish. Look, there's no

unselfish good deeds, sorry.

Do you think that this is true? Is it possible for humans to act

totally unselfishly?

One question haunts and hurts --

Too much, too much to mention.

Was I really seeking good

Or just seeking attention?

Is that all good deeds are

When looked at with an ice-cold eye?

If that's all good deeds are

Maybe that's the reason why...

No good deed goes unpunished.

All helpful urges should be circumvented.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Sure I meant well,

Well, look at what well-meant did!

ooops, sorry... got a song stuck in my head... ;)
