Alenee
While I just bought TOG Y2, I'm looking at SOTW Vol 2 for the first time. Would you all conceive of this to be a complete history curriculum? If I felt like ditching TOG on the basic history and kept only the church history and the literature, would using SOTW be complete? Does my question make sense? NancyNellen
We have completed books 1-4 and are completing book 1 again. It is a solid, complete program. We add in some of the recommended history and literature reading, as well as some projects listed in the Activity Guide. My older children have retained a ton and think history is fun, so it did the trick for us!
WTMindy
Oh yes!! SOTW is wonderful, especially if you use the activity guide along with it. We used all 4 years and we are using TOG for our second rotation, but I always go back and re-read the SOTW chapters that go along with the lesson because I love it!! HollyDay
I used it as my primary spine this past year. I supplemented it with MOH vol 2 and many readers recommended by SOTW and MOH. I would add more geography but that is just me - I like geography.
King Alfred Academy
I like the SOTW a lot, but am going to use TOG Y2 this year for the first time. I know that SOTW is scheduled as alternate and supplemental reading for TOG so we are still going to be using it.
