Jean in Newcastle
I said in another thread that ds15 is having some trouble with the equations for acids/bases. Does anyone know if the material in the book extras is the kind of thing that would help him through this? Does material on Kahn academy correspond enough to the Apologia book to help? mumto2
Do you have the companion cd rom? They explain the examples in more detail there I think. We use the cd rom that is all combined and usually just play the problem being worked rather then go through the written explanation. We have found it quite helpful but are not up to acids and bases yet. I have no idea what is in the extras--I think they are experiment related but don't really know. We haven't used the khan academy for chemistry but we have found it helpful with other subjects. I would try it. Sorry I can't be more helpful. regentrude
Khan academy has the topics broken into small portions and you can target exactly the area you want - it is not aligned with any particular text. We found it a very useful resource for chemistry. Edited October 14, 2012 by regentrude
