Teresa in MO
my dad passed away July 1st. He had been sick for awhile, so it was expected, but you still are never prepared. He truly believed he had all his finances and trust in order to make things easy, simple, cut and dry for all of us. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There are his natural children and stepchildren. New complications arise every day. I am one of the co-trustees and was talking today to the estate lawyer we retained. She commented that in 36 years of being a lawyer this was the most complicated, complex case she has ever seen. Not what you want to hear from your lawyer! Luckymama
I am sooooooooooooooooooooo sorry :grouphug: I am the executor and the trustee for my parents' estate. Dad had moved almost everything, except the house and the car, into the trust before his unexpected death last fall. I have one complication to deal with (a special-needs trust that wasn't finished for a family member who most likely no longer needs one). I cannot imagine complications with biological and stepchildren!

Chelle in MO
I'm sorry to hear about your dad's death. It would be enough to be handling that w/out the added financial issues. :grouphug:
