cindylee Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 What do yall think of this. Our state requirements and the colleges my dd would be looking into require 4 sciences with 2 of them lab based. She has already done biology and chemistry with labs. We were thinking of doing apologia's a/p course without buying the microscope slides/and dissections. One it's too save move and two since it's not required and she is not planning on going into a science major but would love to learn about the human body. What do yall think of this idea? Quote
Calm37 Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 We will not be buying the slides, either, but will be looking them up online. There are many images available for these slides if you use google. You can also find videos of dissections. I have one daughter that got physically ill last year from the fluid they use for preserving the specimens. Don't want to deal with that again. Quote
cindylee Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Any helps on finding these things on line? Just google name of slides maybe? Quote
freesia Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 I've heard you can find the Apologia slides on you tube. I haven't tried it, though. I would just search for the name of the slide that you want. Cheek slide microscope, for example. Quote
