Harriet Vane
I am toying with possibly doing modern history and lit next year with a group of teens. Any text recommendations? I will take a look at SWB's recommendations. I would also love to hear your reviews of those books if you have used them. Thanks!

klmama
I think lots of people are on vacation. Here's a link to a thread from a month or so ago in which several people gave me some very helpful lit suggestions: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/showthread.php?p=3933528&page=
Kfamily
We probably won't be using ours until her senior year, but this text is what we'll be using for modern history: A History of the Modern World by Palmer and Colton I have some links saved that have study guides for this book that I could share if you'd like them. Candid
You can also look at what popular programs use. I know Tapestry of Grace had a hard time finding texts they thought were suitable for the modern time period. They also do a focus on leaders so read several biographies for the time period.
