HollyDay
Between the fires in CO, the flooding in FL, and the brutal heat in TX, is everyone safe?
ChristusG
It's crazy down here!! The river near our house is reaching "record flood stage". Thankfully, we are not close enough to the river to be in a flood zone, but there are many people taking on water tonight...so sad.
oneddmanybooks
My sister and her family in Colorado Springs had to evacuate today. We just visited them recently. I just keep praying for rain, cooler weather, containment, etc. I'm sad and worried about them. She said she could tell the fire was closer today. JudoMom
Colorado Springs is on fire. The fire came down the mountain at 4 and is burning structures. We're packed, but about 2 miles south of the evacuation area. I think Karen in CO might be evacuated. It's bad. Firemen are retreating. Denise in Florida
Tropical Storm Debby is above us now and we are getting 'greater than 100 year" floods. A local river will be a major flood stage tomorrow and our county has opened an emergency shelter. We are safe but the road we live on dead ends at the lake and some of our downhill neighbors are on watch. Fortunately the barn where my daughter rides is okay. Minor flooding but horses are safe. Several horse boarding facilities nearby have evacuated. I hope everyone (heat, fire, rain) stays safe.
