Teaching Textbooks...just the book

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure with version 2.0. We used the original high school books and it was perfectly ok to go DVD free then, but if you wanted solutions solved, they were only on the DVD. If you were ok with just answers, they were with the book.

Two of my three boys preferred them without the DVD lectures. Middle son (my highest achiever) loved the lectures. Each kid is different.

We actually have found in Alg 2 at least a couple times where info was on the DVD and not included in the book. My kids prefer to not listen to the lecture - but if they have problems I require that they listen to the DVD and if they get a problem incorrect they have to go through the solutions on the DVD's to see where they made their error.

:iagree:

With TT alg.1v.2, the BASIC info is always in the book but sometimes the DVDs have additional instruction that's not in the book. There is NO solution manual, only answer key and test bank in book form. Step by step solutions are only available on the dvds.
