tarana
We are finishing up Saxon Math 5/4 and doing excellent. Has anyone skipped 6/5 or 7/6? Or Have done only portion of the book? i.e only 2nd half of the book & going to the next level?
DJgang
When my oldest was doing Saxon, I gave him the tests until he made less than a 90. We started from there. One year, I remember that we started halfway through the book. Good idea, thank you.
famof6
Very good idea. We just switch curriculum and was wondering how to figure out where in the book to start. I love your idea
EKS
Testing through the book, as seekinghim45 suggests, seems to be a popular method. Whatever you decide to do, be sure that you use 8/7 in the end before Algebra I, as it is a solid preparation for algebra.

As you all have advised, will test them on 6/5 and 7/6 and cover the lessons where they have a gap.
