athena1277
Since FB has bought Instagram, nearly everyone on FB posts pictures of their kid/dog/rosebush in a way that I have to stop and figure out if I am looking at a photo taken 5 minutes ago or in the 70's. Why is it cool to make all your photos look old? A nice photo in black and white can be quite pretty, but all you pictures looking aged is not. Tell me I'm not the only one who has noticed this. Then explain the appeal, because I don't get it.

Rhonda in TX
I don't get it, either. I have tons of pictures from the 70's. I was born in '67, so all my childhood photos have that coloring. I have no desire to make pictures from today look like that. Blech.
Heather in Neverland
I think it's a cool trick every now and then but in general I prefer my pictures to look like they were taken in this century.
VeganCupcake
I think it's kind of funny to take pictures of my kids and make them look like 70s photos of my DH and me. Also, sometimes the filter makes a kind-of-ugly photo of me look better.
