Pam "SFSOM" in TN
She's over at Pets'Mart volunteering for the Humane Society's adoption program. Half day Saturdays, she doesn't have to be sixteen, and she'll have the opportunity to shadow a vet a few hours per week. Pretty cool! Sarah CB
What a fantastic opportunity! My dd wants to be a vet as well but she has to be 14 to volunteer with the SPCA. She's just 12 now. Please let us know how she's doing from time to time. Having time to work alongside a vet is pretty amazing.

Brigitte
Just hope that she doesn't come home wanting a puppy or kitten! That would be my downfall. Next year she can do the Humane Society for Service.
Kate in Arabia
That is great! I volunteered for our local Humane Society when I was younger, they had a free dog wash and flea/tick dip; I had a great time with the dogs and meeting people as well as learning a lot.
