I'm sure there are WTMers who can answer with a lot more authority, but in case they don't see this thread here is my stab at the Japanese word (with my limited Japanese knowledge): Itsukushima Torii = It-Soo-Koo-She-Ma(h) Tor-ee where i, o make their short sounds in English and u makes a sound like 'ooh' (third sound of o, if you use SWR).
