Quill
I am a proud and happy mom! DD (who is now in 9th grade at a B&M school) had a history project in which she chose to write about the life of a Spartan warrior. (There were a couple of options, but she chose this one.) She bought a brown, "leather" journal and then wrote in the first person, as if it were the journal of an actual soldier. She included historical facts and accurate weapons, camps, etc., but wrote it all as a gripping narrative diary. She got the graded journal back from her teacher. She scored a 100%. The teacher noted on it that it was "...great character development, historically accurate...the best [i've] ever read!" :D I'm seriously considering seeing if there is a venue where it might be published.
Remudamom
Wow! Good job! You should get it published! How fun for home schooled kiddoes to read something like that with their studies.
