AuntieM
If I needed to use the term "the Twentieth Century" in a written essay (not as the title, just in a sentence), would it actually be capitalized? Some of it? Any of it? When I see it all lowercase, it just, I dunno, lacks something? Please somebody tell me the proper way to write this out. Thanks! Mrs Mungo
None of it is capitalized. It is descriptive, not an official title. Think of it as being similar to seasons. You don't capitalize summer or winter.
AuntieM
Thanks, Mrs M! My son tells me it's the movie credits that have me conditioned to seeing it capitalized. :D Now I can use lower case with confidence.
